Headache Relief

Many people suffer with an occasional headache, but what do you do when the headaches are frequent, intense, and perhaps affect your relationships with family, friends, and possibly contribute to lost days at work? The most common form of treatment is medication, but what do you do when you are not getting the desired results? Many people are concerned with the side effects as well. The good news is that more and more people are understanding that with proper testing and care, headache sufferers are getting the results they are looking for and deserve. There are many different types and classifications of headaches. Some of the more common ones include:

  • cluster
  • sinus
  • tension
  • rebound
  • chronic progressive or traction
  • hormone
  • dental
  • and migraines

Many people want to know how Dr. Picard is able to help people with these types of headaches whereas other doctors have little to no success. Dr. Picard graduated from chiropractic college in 1990, but what really allowed him to excel in helping people with different types of headaches is his postgraduate studies in functional endocrinology and chiropractic neurology. Over 500 hours of class time between these 2 studies has given him the insight into the necessary testing, evaluation, and care to help those who suffer with chronic, difficult cases.

Dr. Picard utilizes a 3 pronged approach when it comes to helping those with chronic headaches. Testing is geared to determine if there is a neurological component, a structural component, and a metabolic component involved. There may be 1, 2, or all 3 of these components involved. Every person is different and this is why it is so important to identify which components are involved. The care he offers is not a “cookie cutter” or “one size fits all” type of program. Once the components are identified, examination and test results will also determine the specific care required. 22 years of practice has proven this to be a very effective strategy for helping those who suffer with chronic, debilitating headaches and migraines.
